Judicial History
- · The Supreme Court Library collects and systematically manages, preserves, and displays valuable historical materials, while also using them for the compilation and research of judicial history. The Exhibition Hall of Judicial History, which is operated by the Supreme Court Library, is Korea’s only museum of judicial history that exhibits illuminating materials on the nation’s judicial evolution, traditional and modern alike. This website enables you to retrieve and utilize judicial history materials, as collected and managed by the Supreme Court Library.
Judicial History Materials
The Supreme Court Library collects resources from within and outside of the court system that are of historical value for preservation or exhibition purposes. These include materials on major events of the judiciary from the previous year, original or photocopied materials from related organizations, and donations from private collectors. They may be in the form of records (such as court records, case file, documents, books, ledgers, drawings, photographs, discs, tapes, films, slides, etc.) or artifacts/objects (such as official seals, office supply and equipment, judge’s robes, nameplates, souvenirs, etc.).
