Welcome to the Supreme Court Library of Korea,
the country's premier legal library!

As a national library and a specialist legal library, the Supreme Court Library of Korea has been collecting various legal information from both home and abroad to serve our citizens. It also supports the judicial functions of courts across the nation, including the Supreme Court, as the judiciary's central library.

The Supreme Court Library, which began its history in the 1950s, was launched as an independent organization under the Supreme Court in 1989. We have been at the forefront of sharing legal knowledge and information by publishing various compilations including the Supreme Court decisions, comprehensive legal information, and Bubgoeul, and taking a significant role in the digitalization of judicial information. In 2018, we opened the Ilsan Beopmaru to the public, and from 2022, we have been lending books to the public while continuously expanding exchange and cooperation with domestic and foreign institutions, contributing to improving access to justice and widely promoting our outstanding legal culture.

Our website is an open space where anyone can easily access this wealth of knowledge and information. Through the Supreme Court Library website, you can not only search our collections, but also access the original texts of key court decisions and major publications issued by each level of the judiciary. You can also use various digital materials such as e-book services, thematic collections, and audio books of court decisions. In addition, you can explore the library’s internal resources online through VR.
